About the internship
As an intern in the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe team, you will contribute to our work by supporting us in monitoring project and programme implementation in programmes focusing support to women’s rights in South Caucasus and Eastern Europe. You will contribute to data collection, research and context analyses, as well as support in daily programme administration.
Through this internship you will gain experience from planning, implementation and monitoring of development cooperation programmes targeting women’s rights and gain insight into how development aid channelled through civil society works in practice.
You will be supported by/will report to the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe team, and work with colleagues based in Stockholm.
Additionally, you will be part of a group of other interns, each doing their internship in different areas of the organisation.
Key tasks will include:
- Monitoring issues related to women’s rights, relevant political developments, conflict dynamics and EU-accession issues and in South Caucasus and Eastern Europe;
- Perform desk studies linked to current or future programme activities in South Caucasus and Eastern Europe;
- Support advocacy activities targeting the EU, for example through mapping advocacy targets;
- Participate in the development of funding applications and results reports, if such are being written during your internship period;
- Provide support in daily programme activities, including some administrative support;
- Participate in relevant departmental meetings and internal training;
- Perform other tasks for the Grant Management Unit and support other units and departments in Kvinna till Kvinna.
About you
You are analytical, responsive cooperative and self-driven. You have good organisational ability and a strong interest in the relevant thematic areas. To be eligible for this internship you need to be enrolled at an internship course or programme, either through a university education or another form of programming.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of gender, peace and security issues;
- Knowledge of women’s rights;
- Knowledge of, or interest in South Caucasus and Eastern Europe;
- Very good language skills in English, and in particular
- advanced writing skills;
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and internet platforms).

The internship is unpaid and covers full-time (37,5 hrs/week) for approx. 20 weeks starting the 2025 autumn semester. Start and end date are negotiable.
