At the method and development unit we work with fostering studies and performing research on the effects of war and armed conflicts on women. Our five thematic areas of expertise are: gender-based violence, women in peacebuilding, women, peace and security, women’s economic empowerment and women human rights defenders’ security. We are also responsible for managing the organisation's global strategy and operational planning. The department is based at the head office in Stockholm.
