Kvinna till Kvinna were established in South Caucasus more than twenty years ago and is now one of the leading international feminist organisations working in the region. We have an office in Tbilisi, Georgia, but we do work throughout the region, and are just establishing an office in Yerevan, Armenia.
We are expanding our work and are looking for a Deputy Regional Director, who wants to be part of a dynamic and committed team, and who is an experienced leader used to work in a complex and crisis environment, based in Tbilisi or Yerevan.

About the job
As Deputy Regional Director you, together with the Regional Director, will be responsible for the strategic development of the region and management of programmes and operations in accordance with Kvinna till Kvinna’s mandate, policies, and practices.
As Deputy Regional Director you will be line-managing programme staff, and will be responsible for quality implementation of programming. You will be Kvinna till Kvinna’s official representative in Georgia/ or Armenia (depending on the physical location of position placement) and responsible for the work environment and the administration of the office. Networking and maintaining relationships with relevant international and local organisations and institutions is an important part of the job.
As Deputy Regional Director you should be physically based and have a legal right to work in Tbilisi, Georgia or Yerevan, Armenia. You will report to the Regional Director of the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe region.

You are strategic and operational and can easily adapt to the situation. You have a strong ability to prioritise and delegate. You have responsiveness, integrity, and the ability to handle stressful situations. You can handle peaks of intense workloads and crises.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical programme skills with a collaborative mindset and a value-based leadership. This role requires a proactive individual with strong solution-oriented thinking, an analytical mindset, and an understanding of the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe region, including Ukraine, political dynamics.

Professional Qualifications
- Seven years of relevant experience, including managerial experience leading staff and management of programmes of similar size and focus.
- Prior experience working with international NGOs, women’s rights and peacebuilding, humanitarian organizations, or development agencies;
- Experience of:
- Development cooperation work in South Caucasus, Eastern Europe or similar context;
- Operational development requiring analytical and strategic skills, including project management, follow-up; evaluation, assessment and reporting, especially results-based management, and quality assurance;
- Strategic budgeting and follow-up;
- Knowledge in one or more areas of peace and conflict, gender equality, and/or human rights
- Administrative and economic tasks with high computer literacy.
- The ability to travel within all contexts in the region
- A minimum of a BA University degree in relevant field
- Fluency in English, excellent knowledge of Russian language; and knowledge of local languages in the region is an advantage;
Merits
- Voluntary work in civil society or other value-based programmes
- Training/certification in security management, risk assessment, or related fields, paired with experience in crisis management and responding effectively to emergencies;
Terms & conditions and what we offer
This is a full-time position on a national contract based in Tbilisi, Georgia or in Yerevan, Armenia. This is a national position open for candidates having legal right to work and reside in Georgia and/ or Armenia.
The position is full-time with a starting probationary period of 6 months on a fixed 1-year period with the possibility of extension. The starting date is the 1st of June, 2025 or as soon as possible.

We offer a hybrid work arrangement, allowing up to 50% remote work. The work is goal-oriented, with an average weekly workload of 37.5 hours. We offer wellness time during working hours and wellness allowance.
Your role will include occasional travel, especially within the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe region.
