Rana, Programme manager
1. What keeps you motivated to work at Kvinna till Kvinna?
I am motivated by the opportunity to work alongside courageous women's rights organizations and contribute to positive changes and meaningful programs that support women in challenging environments. I am inspired by their resilience and leadership and by our commitment to supporting local projects. I also value working in an organization whose mission aligns with my personal values. Seeing the outcomes of our collective efforts gives me a strong sense of purpose and keeps me engaged.
2. How have you grown during your time at Kvinna till Kvinna?
I have grown significantly during my time here. I started as a Programme Officer, later served as Acting Head of Office for several years, and now work as Programme Manager. Each step has expanded my responsibilities and helped me develop a deeper understanding of both programme implementation and organizational leadership. I also have worked with different offices and have coached and supported Program officers in other regions, while developing my skills in Integrated security and Wellbeing trainer.
3. Can you share a moment from Kvinna till Kvinna that has stayed with you the most?
One moment that has stayed with me is seeing the resilience and determination of our partner organizations in Gaza Strip, particularly during the genocide and the ongoing escalations. Despite facing significant challenges, they continued to support their communities and create spaces for women despite the lack of all life means. They always inspire me to keep going and working. Hearing directly from women whose lives had been positively affected by these initiatives reinforced the importance of our work in Palestine.
4. What advice would you give to someone considering applying to join Kvinna till Kvinna?
I would encourage anyone considering joining Kvinna till Kvinna to come with a strong commitment to women's rights and willingness to learn, support and grow.
