Programme Manager, Liberia
Together with our partners in Liberia, Kvinna till Kvinna works for women’s political and economic rights, promotes respect for sexual and reproductive health and rights, and supports peacebuilding and conflict resolution. Kvinna till Kvinna is currently undergoing a process of restructuring in Liberia, with a transition toward localising all positions. As part of this change, we are recruiting a Programme Manager to be based in Monrovia, with responsibility for leading the daily work of our programme team and ensuring the effective implementation of our programmes in Liberia.
Deadline for applying: 3 November, 2025
The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation
Kvinna till Kvinna has defended women’s rights since 1993 — for every woman’s right to be safe and to be heard. Today, we are one of the world’s leading women’s rights organisations, working directly in areas affected by war and conflict to strengthen women’s influence and power. We work closely with over 150 local partner organisations across 20 countries to end violence against women, achieve lasting peace, and close the gender gap once and for all.
The future is equal. And together, we are change.
About the job
Kvinna till Kvinna has supported women’s rights in Liberia since 2009, with an office in Monrovia since 2011.
As Programme Manager, you will lead the daily work of the programme team and ensure high-quality implementation of two key programmes: POWER (funded by Sida) and Strengthen Her Voice (funded by UNPBF). You will manage partnerships with women’s rights organisations and activists across Liberia and ensure that our work aligns with Kvinna till Kvinna’s mandate, values, and operational plans.
While you will not have direct line management responsibilities, you will guide and support the programme officers and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and value-based team culture. You will work closely with the Country Director, Finance Manager, and other Liberia office staff, as well as with colleagues at Kvinna till Kvinna’s Head Office in Sweden.

You are a strategic and hands-on programme professional with a solid understanding of partnership-based work and women’s rights in development or peacebuilding contexts. You demonstrate strong analytical and coordination skills, can manage multiple priorities, and are deeply committed to gender equality and human rights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- At least six (6) years of experience in programme or project management within development or humanitarian organisations.

Merits
- Experience managing programmes funded by Sida, UNPBF, or similar donors.
- Familiarity with donor compliance, results-based management, and reporting.
- Knowledge of Liberia’s gender equality frameworks and civil society landscape.
What We Offer
You will join more than 120 dedicated colleagues at Kvinna till Kvinna, working for women’s rights across over 20 conflict-affected countries.
