The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation has defended women’s rights since 1993. For every woman’s right to be safe and to be heard. Today we are one of the world’s leading women’s rights organisations, working directly in areas affected by war and conflict to strengthen women’s influence and power. About the internship
This internship will focus on Kvinna till Kvinna’s Sweden programme, which includes. several volunteer groups in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Uppsala, Umeå, Linköping, Malmö and Lund. We also have a digital/international volunteer group. Our volunteers perform a broad variety of activities, such as: fundraising, planning & conducting events, writing debate articles and arranging local study groups.
The internship is intended to make a practical contribution to the work of the organisation through identified tasks and responsibilities, and to offer a learning opportunity for you as an intern.
- You will be part of a small project group and support in daily tasks such as:
- Planning, organising and conducting educational trainings and meetings
- Coordinating and support the communication with the local volunteer groups
- Administrative and logistic support with daily work tasks
- Support in coordinating advocacy events in Sweden
- Studies in peace and conflict or other relevant academical field
- Experience and interest in women’s rights
- Fluent in Swedish and English
We prefer that you are a looking for an internship as part of your current studies, or as a part of a e.g., rehabilitation programme, where you receive reimbursement from CSN or other government funds. If the above does not apply to you, you need to mention how your internship is funded.

At Kvinna till Kvinna you will get a chance to be a part of an inspiring workplace with dedicated employees. During your time with us you will get the opportunity to work independently as well as in a team. You will deepen your knowledge of international development work, women's role for democracy and peace, planning / follow-up and communication work. You will also be able to participate in both internal and external seminars / lectures that may be of interest.
The internship is unpaid and covers full-time (37,5 hrs/week) for approx. 20 weeks starting this fall semester. Start and end date are negotiable. You will be insured during the internship and you will have a designated supervisor during the internship.
Due to the nature of our work only women are welcome as interns, either self-identified or legal. Otherwise, we strive for diversity.
